Skilled welders have the opportunity to be employed in almost every major industry. Anywhere there’s construction or maintenance of an infrastructure, welding is needed. Wherever there is the need to join two or more pieces of metal, welding becomes the most likely answer.

Agape Welding School

At AWS, you can be trained to become a skilled welder. The welding school offers four different welding programs this school year:

Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)

Flux-Core Arc Wedling (FCAM)

Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW / TIG)

AWS also offers refresher courses for welders who want to perfect or upgrade their skills.

Students will be employable after completing the training. Upon completion, the student will be able to make sound welds, be able to fabricate projects, solve problems and see projects through completion.

More than 500 welders will be needed for placement in offshore platforms by Agape Construction & Inter-Maritime Services within two years.

AWS is open to all students regardless of sex, religion, age, disability, marital status or race.

Admission procedure

In order to be admitted in any of the program at AWS, the applicant will have to complete a personal interview to Admissions Representative.

The interviewer will assess the applicant’s understanding of the school, program and ability to attend and complete the training. The interview will focus on the below:

• Personal character
• Motivation and commitment to complete the program
• Prior experience or education (for those coming for refresher or short courses)
• Physical & mental ability to complete the programs

Welding Certification

Agape Welding School functions on a 52-week term for day classes. At the end of the course, an end-course certificate would be issued by the Ministry of Employment & Vocational Training.

Testing and Homologation will be done by SGS Cameroun.
