Vitalis Nkwenti, Founder of Naveg Technologies during this conference took time out to meet with the Director of PECB Africa and Middle East, Mustafë Bislimi. It should be noted that Naveg Technologies is a representative PECB Partner.

During the meeting, Mr. Nkwenti discussed about the increase rate of cybercrime in South Africa and all over the world and how the rising threats can be combated through awareness, training, and professional educational education of information security.

Naveg Technologies offers information security by protecting critical and sensitive data for its clients. They also carry out penetration testing, forensics and cyber security incident response.

In related news, Africa’s Information Security Conference (AISCON 2019) is scheduled to take place in Douala, Cameroon.

The firm also offers training in cyber security. Training courses include Cyber Security Lead Auditor (ISO 27001 & ISO 9001), Lead Implementer (ISO 27001 & ISO 9001), Lead Cybersecurity Manager (ISO 27032), Compliance Management (ISO 19600), CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, CEH, CISSP exam preparations, and CompTIA courses.

Plans to expand to Cameroon

Asked if Naveg Technologies plans to expand to Cameroon, the founder said “we are in the process to establish long-term partnerships with some businesses in Cameroon to provide cyber security advisory services and training”.

According to him, setting up such a service in Cameroon “will improve the cyber security posture of both public and private enterprises”.
