UNDP Seeks Youth-Led Projects for YWEEP Initiative

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a call for proposals under the Youth and Women Employment and Empowerment Project (YWEEP). This initiative aims to bolster youth-led businesses in Cameroon, promoting innovation and digital solutions across various sectors.

YWEEP will pre-select 20 promising youth-led projects in fields such as agro-industry, the green economy, and digital innovation. Selected participants will receive extensive training and entrepreneurship coaching. This will equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in their industries and contribute to sustainable economic growth.

The project encourages innovative solutions that align with sustainable development goals, focusing on digital transformation and eco-friendly practices. By doing so, it aims to enhance the competitiveness of youth-led businesses and support their growth in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
