The Ministry of Mines, Industry, and Technological Development, led by acting Minister Professor Fuh Calistus Gentry, has announced Cameroon’s upcoming celebration of the 35th edition of Africa Industrialization Day, paired with the 9th edition of the National Technology Day (Journées Technologiques Nationales, JTN).
Scheduled for November 18–20, 2024, at the Yaoundé City Hall, this event will spotlight Cameroon’s technological advancements and industrial growth.
The National Technology Day serve as a showcase for local technological discoveries and innovations, aiming to promote local expertise and skills. Through this platform, the Ministry seeks to highlight the capabilities of Cameroon’s inventors and innovators, encouraging public and private sector investment in promising technologies.
The festivities will officially open on November 19 at 11:00 AM, with the Minister inaugurating the “technology village.” Attendees will have the chance to explore various exhibitions by local inventors. This offers an opportunity to experience Cameroonian innovation firsthand.
Entrepreneurs and small business owners are encouraged to attend this event and explore the ways in which technological advancements can benefit their ventures.
