Role Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable live-in caregiver to support an elderly couple in Bamenda with daily living activities and companionship. This role is ideal for someone with a nursing background or caregiving experience who is committed to providing high-quality, respectful care in a family setting.

The caregiver will reside in the home with the couple and will not be required to pay for accommodation or meals. The position offers a supportive environment and fair compensation based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming)

• Assist with medication reminders and monitoring

• Support mobility and help prevent falls

• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary

• Monitor vital signs and report health changes

• Offer emotional support and companionship

Required Qualifications

• Certificate or training in caregiving or nursing

• Proven experience working with elderly persons

• Ability to live on-site and adapt to a family environment

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Respectful, patient, and trustworthy character

Preferred Skills/Experience

• First aid and CPR certification

• Experience with dementia or age-related health conditions

Language Requirements

• Must be fluent in English or French; ability to understand both is a plus
